Infrastructures

The Program operates in the premises of the Department of Forestry, Wood Sciences & Design of the University of Thessaly, which has three (3) independent buildings, with a total area of >6500 sq.m. in an area of 50,000 sq.m., which are also available for the operation of the Postgraduate Study Program.

Since the beginning of the 2009-2010 academic year, the Department has acquired new building facilities of 1475 sq.m. which are in use and include, among others, classrooms, teachers' offices, an auditorium, etc. In this building, 3 laboratories operate, namely the Applied Marketing Management & Finance, CAD and Technical Drawing Laboratories, which are also used for the operation of the Postgraduate Study Program.

The Department has its own laboratory facilities with a total area of 1042 square meters in a metal building which is spread over 2 floors (ground floor and 1st floor). On the ground floor there are two (2) versatile laboratory spaces (Laboratories for Mechanical Processing, Quality Control and Furniture Production Technology), while on the 1st floor there are 6 laboratory rooms (Laboratories for Wood Technology, Quality Control, Industrial Design & Furniture Design with PC). It has also developed laboratory facilities since the first years of its foundation and next to the former Department of Forestry and Natural Environment Management (Laboratory of Technology and Maintenance of Wooden Structures with a total area of 120 sq.m.).

The classrooms of the MSc courses where they will be held are the Hall of the Applied Marketing Management & Economics Laboratory, the CAD Laboratory and the auditorium which are fully equipped with PCs, programs, projectors, teleconferencing and distance learning systems, etc. a.
