The learning outcomes of the M.Sc. programme based on the mentioned methodology concern:
Knowledge: Very specialized knowledge concerning the administration, management, exploitation, protection, and development of forests and forest lands in general, the management of wild fauna, the exploitation of mountainous and semi-mountainous pastures and grasslands, the handling, processing and control of quality and marketing of forest products, the protection, utilization and maintenance of the balance of the natural environment, the production industries, processing and utilization of forest products, the management and protection of terrestrial natural ecosystems, the touristic or other utilization of peri-urban and aesthetic forests, the production, standardization and marketing of aromatic plants and forest fruits, the compilation of forest maps, remote sensing and the use of GIS in the characterization, management and exploitation of areas of forest interest, etc.
Skills: Specialized problem-solving skills, which are required in research and/or innovation in order to develop new knowledge and processes and integrate knowledge from different fields in the field of bioeconomy, development of staff plans of administrative organization and financial management of public and private management structures and utilization of forest and other terrestrial natural resources, drawing up plans for the exploitation, protection, utilization and development of forests and forest lands in general, drawing up and implementing plans for the management of wild fauna, utilization of mountainous and semi-mountainous pastures and grasslands, handling, processing and quality control and marketing forest products, preparation of special environmental studies and action plans for the protection, utilization and maintenance of the balance of the natural environment, development of business plans and organizational charts of forest holdings, industries for the production, processing and exploitation of forest products, drawing up plans for tourism or other exploitation peri-urban and aesthetic forests, construction of production plans, standardization and marketing of aromatic plants and forest fruits, production of thematic maps for the characterization of lands based on aerial photographs, satellite images and GIS backgrounds and the formation of digital models of soil and other forest interest.
Abilities: Graduates with the knowledge they receive at M.Sc. programme are capable of managing state and private structures for the management and utilization of forest and other terrestrial natural resources, to manage and draw up plans for the exploitation, protection, utilization and development of forests and forest lands in general, to develop plans for the management of wild fauna, utilization of mountainous and semi-mountainous pastures and grasslands, handling, processing and quality control and marketing of forest products, to determine the actions and the institutional framework for the protection, utilization and maintenance of the balance of the natural environment, to draw up plans and organizational charts of forest holdings, industries for the production, processing and utilization of forest products, to determine the management and protection measures of terrestrial natural ecosystems, to draw up plans for tourism or other utilization of peri-urban and aesthetic forests, to organize the production, standardization and marketing of aromatic plants and fruits of the forest, to utilize the necessary remote sensing information and Geographical Information Systems (GIS) backgrounds for the compilation of forest maps, and land characterization, and to manage digital data of forest interest.
